On October 4, 2018 at approximately 2:18pm, the Sparks Police Department received reports that shots had been fired at the 7-11 located at 2295 G Street in Sparks. Officers quickly arrived on scene and found that one suspect had fired several handgun rounds into the business through the windows. That suspect was with two other individuals and they fled the scene in a vehicle.
Other responding officers located the suspect vehicle at an address on Wedekind Road. One suspect was detained, and two others fled into a residence. The other two suspects were eventually detained. After evidence was collected and interviews conducted. Two of the suspects were released without charges and the third was charged with multiple felony crimes. The handgun used in the crime was located. The suspect arrested was also found to have a warrant out of Stockton for Homicide.
No one was injured in the incident and there are no outstanding suspects.
