Date and Time of Incident: April 12, 2017 at 11:47pm

Location: 187 E. Greg Street

Victim: McCarran Mart (clerk name withheld)

Suspect: Unknown


*Update w/surveillance photos.  Sparks Police Detectives are still investigating the Armed Robbery that occurred April 12th at 187 E. Greg Street, and we are asking for information to help identify the Robbery suspect who remains at large.  The suspect is depicted in still photos from store video surveillance.  The photos depict the suspect fighting with the clerk who fortunately was not seriously injured during the Robbery.  It appears the suspect has significant tattoos on his back.  Anyone with information about the Robbery or the identity of the suspect is urged to call Sparks Police 353-2231 or Secret Witness 322-4900.  There is a Secret Witness Reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Suspect: White male adult wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark bandana, and light colored blue jeans


On April 12, 2017 at approximately 11:47 pm, Sparks Police Officers responded to the McCarran Mart, at 187 E. Greg Street, for an armed robbery that had just occurred. Officers met with the clerk, who advised that a male armed with a handgun had entered the store near closing time. A struggled ensued between the suspect and the clerk. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. He was last seen on foot south bound in the area of S. Stanford Way and Coney Island Drive.

 

The suspect was a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark bandana over his face, and light colored blue jeans. The suspect may have received minor injuries to his face and body from the struggle with the clerk. 

 

The clerk received minor injuries and refused medical attention.

 

No further information is available at this time.

 

The Sparks Police Department is asking for assistance from the community with identifying the suspect from the robbery. Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is urged to contact the Sparks Police Department at 353-2231 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
