On 12/2/2017 at approx. 1752 hours, NHP troopers were dispatched to a wrong way driver traveling southbound Pyramid Hwy in the northbound lanes. A Sparks Police Officer responding to another call, noticed several cars pulled over near Disc Dr. and a white Jeep Cherokee SUV approx. 20 yards up the hill off the west side of the highway. The Sparks Officer was advised by several witnesses that the female adult was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle as it was driving in the wrong lanes and then drove off the highway up the hill. The female suspect, later identified as Sabra Alise Bewley, was acting very erratically and "dancing" on the top of the car and then began to try to leave the area on a child's scooter. Bewley was uncooperative with Officers attempts to detain her and physically resisted Officers fighting with a Sparks Officer and an NHP trooper. Bewley was subsequently arrested for DUI- Drugs 2ND, Resisting arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Trafficking Sch-1 14-28g (MDMA), Possession of a Controlled Substance – Sales, and Destruction of Property. Bewley was transported to the hospital prior to being booked into the jail.
