Hit and Run Vehicle vs Motorcyclist

On February 27, 2021 @ approximately 9:25 am, Sparks Police, Sparks Fire, and Remsa responded to El Rancho and Victorian Ave. on the report of a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.  Sparks Police received information prior to arriving that the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Sparks Police, Sparks Fire, and REMSA arrived on scene and located a 40-year-old male in the roadway.  REMSA transported the subject to a local hospital where he is being treated with serious injuries.

Sparks Police learned through the investigation the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Victorian through the intersection and had a green light.  The suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on El Rancho at Victorian and failed to stop for the red light.  The suspect vehicle struck the motorcyclist in the intersection causing the driver of the motorcycle to be ejected.  The motorcycle continued traveling into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle before coming to rest.  The occupants of that vehicle were not injured.

The suspect vehicle is a 2010-2014 grayish/blue colored Subaru Legacy with Nevada plates.  The vehicle is going to have front end damage from where it struck the motorcyclist.
