On November 27th, 2020, at approximately 8:27pm, Officers of the Sparks Police Department responded to the call of a subject down at a house in the 2300 Block of 4th Street in Sparks.  The victim was found to be deceased.  The victim lived at that address and foul play was suspected.  During the course of the investigation, Samuel Auther Moore III was determined to be the primary suspect and was arrested for Murder. 


The victim was known to the suspect and involved parties, and there is no reason to believe the public should be concerned. No further information will be released at this time, as the investigation is still ongoing and further disclosures could be detrimental to the case.


The Sparks Police Department is asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information about this incident to contact the Sparks Police Detectives at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
