Volunteers Assisting the Sparks Community

Do you want to help your community by volunteering with us?

The Sparks Police maintains an active and productive volunteer program. We are always looking to expand and add motivated community members to our volunteer team.  Active volunteers are equipped with a uniform, radio, vehicle and other equipment necessary for their specific assignment.

Volunteers assist our community in many ways:

  • Handicap Parking Enforcement
  • Crime Prevention Programs
  • Special Events
  • Abandoned Vehicles
  • High Visibility Patrol
  • Records Section Support
  • Document Imaging & Management
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • Parking Violations
  • VASC Brochure

If you would like to apply to become a volunteer, download the application here or stop by the department to pick up an application.  If you have any questions or would like more information about the program, contact Support Services (775) 353-2229.
