Residential Burglary

On November 30th, 2017 at 1310 hours Sparks Police Officers responded to a home in the 6000 Block of Quintessa Dr. for a report Residential Burglary in progress.  The victim had returned home to find a vehicle backed into his garage.  The victim saw four black male suspects attempting to load the victim's large gun safe into their vehicle.  The victim confronted the suspects and one of the suspects then threatened to shoot the victim, with a handgun.  The victim was not injured.

The suspects were able to flee the area, however Officers located the suspect vehicle and a chase ensued.  The vehicle then crashed into a vehicle on Sparks Blvd, near Baring Blvd, and the suspects fled on foot from the vehicle.  No injuries were reported.

Officers surrounded the area and located two (2) suspects, who were arrested.  The suspects have been identified as:

Raymond BANKS, a 21 year old California resident

Kayshawn SMITH-HARPER, a 20 year old California resident.

Members of Regional Gang Unit took over the investigation and their investigation is ongoing.  The two (2) outstanding suspects are only described as being Black male adults in their late teens or early 20’s and their whereabouts are unknown.
