Sparks Police brifing photo with one officer looking toward cameraThe Patrol Section is comprised of sworn police officers, an Administrative Secretary, and a Police Assistant (Garage Liaison). The Patrol section has six patrol shifts, each commanded by a Lieutenant Watch Commander.  The Patrol section is the department’s primary presence within the city.  It is the element most responsible for crime prevention, law enforcement, protection of life and property, apprehension of criminals, enforcement at special events, preservation of the peace, and response to calls for service by the department.

Effective June 15th, 2020: Sparks Police will begin to open in-person Non-Essential Services. An Appointment is Required for All in-person services in our ID Unit, to be consistent with the Nevada United: Roadmap to Recovery plan.
