The Traffic Section consists of two motor officers under the direction of a sergeant. The motor officers conduct the majority of the proactive traffic enforcement efforts throughout the City and respond to traffic complaint areas. Motor officers also investigate a majority of traffic-related crashes. The Traffic Section Sergeant coordinates the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) that investigates those collisions involving significant injury or death.
