suicidal subject

On 11/6/2018 at about 5:28 pm officers with the Sparks Police Department responded to the 200 block of Prater Way on a report of a suicidal subject, who was armed with a firearm. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with family members. It was determined the male was possibly in a residence alone and armed with the firearm. Police began attempting to negotiate with the male via the PA system. After about an hour the subject was conatcted by police, without incident. The male was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation and medical assistance. The gun was never fired, and no persons were injured during the incident.
