During the investigation, officers discovered the vehicle accident had occurred at the intersection of I St. and 1st St.  Officers learned the driver and a witness had contacted SPD Dispatch and reported the juvenile was running in the crosswalk and attempted to stop for the vehicle which was already crossing the crosswalk.
